I-25 MVA/Haz-Mat
At 8:48 p.m. on Sunday November 4th, Local 2164 members responded to a semi accident on the northbound off-ramp from I-25 to Belleview Avenue in Greenwood Village. The semi struck a highway barrier resulting in a violent crash that ejected the motor and destroyed the truck. Miraculously the driver safely exited the cab uninjured and no other vehicles were involved. Read More...
Greenwood Village Car Recovery
At 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, November 4th, Local 2164 members responded to a vehicle in the water at Tommy Davis Park in Greenwood Village. The Ford Ranger pick up truck was halfway submerged with no signs of anyone around. The SMFR Dive Team donned SCUBA gear, searched the area around the vehicle and no one was found. Read More...
Coal Mine Ave. Structure Fire
At 7:44 p.m. on Tuesday October 30, 2018, Local 2086 members were dispatched to a fire alarm activation at 8160 W. Coal Mine Avenue in Jefferson County. The large, newly constructed building is currently unoccupied and there were no visible signs of smoke or fire when Engine 13 arrived. Read More...
Troy Circle Trash Fire
Around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, Local 2164 members responded to a garbage truck fire in front of 6228 S. Troy Circle in Centennial. Heavy smoke and flames were visible from the cargo area when crews arrived and full natural gas tanks on top of the vehicle were threatened. The street was immediately closed and the load of burning trash was dumped out to reduce damage to the truck. Read More...
Latonka Rd Structure Fire
At 2:38 p.m. on Saturday October 27th, afternoon, Local 2086 and 2164 members responded to a house fire in the 3800 block of West Latonka Road in Littleton. Members worked from the interior and exterior of the home to extinguish a smoldering fire in the wall. No injuries occurred and the cause of the fire is under investigation. https://www.southmetro. Lone Tree Plane Crash
At 7:35 a.m. on Friday October 26th, Local 2164 members responded to a plane crash south of Lincoln Avenue just east of I-25 in Lone Tree. When members arrived, they found a small, single engine plane in the open space with no fire or smoke visible. The pilot and passenger safely exited the aircraft and were not injured but they were double checked by South Metro Fire Paramedics. Read More...

Nevada St. Multi Family Structure Fire
At 10:53 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, Local 2086 and 2164 members responded to an apartment fire at 5891 S. Nevada Street in Littleton. 911 callers reported flames and smoke coming from the 3rd floor and roof. Engine and Medic 11 were first on scene and immediately deployed a hose line to control the exterior fire. Read More...
